A two-day plein air painting workshop at the Living Desert in Palm Desert, CA

Learn to paint and perfect your skills while painting on location.

"Let's put the fun in Fundamentals! Learn the important elements in building a painting. The basic building blocks are: Composition and design, contrast, color harmony, and creating a strong point of interest. Learn how to see shapes and develop sensitvity to values.You will be amazed at how quickly your paintings will improve and your confidence will be enhanced!"

Tuition: $200.00 for members of the Living Desert, or $225 for non-members.

"Seeds For The Field"

How to translate your plein air studies into large studio paintings. Learn the methods of the early California Impressionist painters who worked outdoors to create "sketches" in paint. Then chose your best studies to translate into larger finished studio paintings. This class will give you the fundamentals and confidence to create larger works.
